Academic Expectations:

In reading, the genre this month is non-fiction biographies.  Students will enjoy reading various titles in the classroom library. We also now have a listening center in which the children can enjoy stories of various genres. We will continue writing skills such as picture prompts, poetry prompts and narratives. In Math we just completed  unit 8 Fractions. We will be starting unit 9 Multiplication and Division. We will now put use the times tables we’ve been  working so hard at. In Science we just completed a chapter on soil.  In Social Studies we are beginning a new chapter entitled “How Government Works.”. The students will learn about local, state, and national government.
