Welcome to Mrs. D. Egan’s Class Summer News
Hooray for summer! Enjoy every day to its fullest because before you know it, it will be September. Below are a few things that your child can do over the summer.
~ Review addition and subtraction facts using flash cards. ~ Practice counting money and making change – Play store with someone. ~ Go to the library and check out a good book. ~ Read to someone. ~ Keep a journal – write about the things you do each day. ~ Write a story about a place you have gone to. ~ Make a Memory Book – on each page put a photo or draw a picture of something that you did and write a sentence or 2 about it. ~ Write a letter to someone. ~ Read, read, and read some more! You can never read too much.
For information regarding summer reading and school supplies for Sept. 2010 go to Clementon Elementary School’s main web page. These were also sent home with your child on the last day of school attached to their report card.
I have enjoyed working with all you this year. I’m going to miss each one of you. We have had a lot of fun this year and we have learned so much together. Good luck to all of you as you move onto 3rd Grade.
Have a safe and happy summer! Mrs. D. Egan
